In 1992, the annual Cherry Laurel Lanes Midnight Bowling party is in full swing in the small town of Turpin, Indiana. Laughter, dancing, pulsing music, colored lights, and crashing pins all mix together and fill the night for all in attendance. Sixteen year old Jenna Dawson was enjoying her night until she attracted the unwanted attention of middle-aged championship bowler, Danny Grady.

As a result, Danny and mechanic "Tex" get into an altercation, ending in a scandal and ultimately, the closing of the bowling alley.

One year later, Jenna and her new burnout friends make plans to have one last Midnight Bowl together before the alley is demolished and replaced with a chain restaurant.

They soon find out they are not alone.
